The Scali Law Firm expands its employment litigation team with the addition of Georgetown and NYU graduate and seasoned employment defense litigator, Greg Wilbur

The Scali Law Firm is pleased to announce the expansion of its employment defense litigation group with the addition of associate attorney, Gregory B. Wilbur. Greg joins the firm’s Los Angeles Office’s Litigation and Employment practice groups and has extensive experience in class action wage and hour employment litigation. He is well versed in the California Labor Code, the regulations and agency authority interpreting it, and the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and is adept at evaluating exposure to damages and penalties from wage-and-hour class action lawsuits.

Greg has also litigated numerous single plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, the federal Civil Rights Act, and other statutes. In addition, he regularly counsels clients on employment policies and decisions to prevent costly litigation before disputes arise.

As a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group he also defends clients against consumer claims, including suits under the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA) and the Song-Beverly Act.

Prior to joining Scali Law, Mr. Wilbur practiced employment law at a respected defense firm in Downtown Los Angeles. Before that, he worked at an employment law boutique in Santa Barbara representing both employees and employers, where he assisted with recovering millions of dollars on behalf of the firm’s clients. Mr. Wilbur considers his experience representing employees invaluable for evaluating exposure to liability and achieving the best possible settlements for his clients.

Mr. Wilbur received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar’s Labor & Employment Section as well as the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Litigation and Labor & Employment Law Sections. Prior to law school. Mr. Wilbur was an officer in the Marine Corps and he currently serves on the board of directors of the National Veterans Foundation, a non-profit that focuses on the most vulnerable portions of the veteran community. He lives in Culver City and enjoys sailing.
