Madeleine Lee is a litigator in the Labor & Employment Group in Scali Rasmussen’s Los Angeles, California, office. Ms. Lee is experienced in all aspects of litigation, from the development of case strategy, through discovery, motion practice, and trial. She has experience in adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court and has extensively briefed and argued appeals. Ms. Lee is dedicated to efficiently delivering quality results to clients, listening to clients’ business needs, and understanding the challenges they face in their industries.
Ms. Lee handles a wide variety of employment matters, including class actions and single plaintiff litigation, arbitrations and administrative proceedings. Dispute resolution is a large part of her practice as well, whether through litigation, arbitration, mediation or negotiation. Ms. Lee also helps employers develop workplace strategies to manage employment-related risk and develop policies and procedures to protect trade secrets and business assets.
Prior to joining Scali Rasmussen, Ms. Lee practiced employment law at a national law firm.
Ms. Lee has an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego and a background in econometrics, economic development, and game theory. She served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt, U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson, U.S. District Court of California; and the Honorable Erithe A. Smith, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California. Ms. Lee served as a volunteer deputy district attorney in the Trial Attorney Partnership Program of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office wherein she conducted two jury trials.
