Joshua Valene has a regulatory and litigation practice. In law school and later as a Bridge to Practice Fellow, he worked for the California Department of Business Oversight, Enforcement Division, handling real estate and investment fraud cases for the Division. Before that, he was a certified law clerk for the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, Fraud Unit, where he aided in the prosecution of identity theft, insurance fraud and other criminal cases. Mr. Valene broadened his litigation experience as an associate litigation attorney at Walsworth – WFBM, LLP, where he successfully defended clients in product liability, toxic tort, asbestos and general liability matters. Mr. Valene stays current on regulatory enforcement and guidance and enjoys helping clients find marketing solutions that accomplish their goals while complying with applicable laws.
Mr. Valene attended law school at Loyola Law School, where he received a JD with a civil litigation and advocacy concentration, and participated in the Hobbs Trial Advocacy Clinic. While earning his Juris Doctor, he served as a research assistant to Professor Stanley Goldman. Mr Valene also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Communications, graduating magna cum laude from Florida State University in 2009. In his free time, Mr. Valene enjoys long-distance cycling and stand-up comedy.
